Our Alpha course is now well under way and is at 7pm in St Mary’s Centre. It is possible to attend just a few of these sections. Please let us know if you would like to do so. The response to this has been excellent. It shows that there is a great hunger for God. Let us pray for all who are taking part, that they will come to know the Lord in a new and deeper way.

Sister Dolores, Golden Jubilee (Saturday 8th July 2017)
A Few words from Sister Dolores.
We are a link in a chain and as weak as the weakest link. Well from the Celebrations on Saturday 8th July for my Golden Jubilee, the chain in St Mary & St John Fisher is certainly very strong. Many thanks to the great numbers who attended, and to all the visible groups who contributed to making the day go so well – i.e. Parish Florists, decorators, musicians & choir, altar servers, typist, church and hall cleaners, furniture removers, reception and those who provided tea & coffee throughout the afternoon. I’m also very conscious of the “silent” workers in the background. A special mention to Fr Peter – he dreamt up this celebration and put the idea into motion. My family are very impressed and appreciative of the warm welcome they received and commented on the genuine friendliness which was obvious throughout the day.
A sincere Thank You to each of you and Many Blessings. Sister Dolores.
