Tonight's service looked at climate change and climate justice. Climate justice is a term used for framing global warming as an ethical and political issue, rather than one that is purely environmental or physical in nature. Pope Francis’ Encyclical Laudato Si is a worldwide wake up call to help humanity understand the destruction that mankind is rendering to the environment and his fellow man. As stewards of God's earth we have a great responsibility for ensuring that we look after the planet for future generations. Ten thousand parishes in Poland are currently focusing on this topic which has serious implications for us all. Look carefully at some of the images and reflect on what you can do to make the planet a better place. Parishioners who attended this evening wrote their own prayers and processed around the church in solidarity with fellow Christians who are walking from Rome to Poland to raise awareness of the great problems we face.
